Hepatitis C medication
If your liver treatment consists of curing your hepatitis C, then your liver specialist will discuss and propose a personalised treatment plan depending on the stage of your condition. Hepatitis C is caused by the HCV virus, which often causes few symptoms in the initial stage. Mild symptoms include headaches, fatigue and muscle aches, joint pains, chills and lack of energy.
More advanced symptoms include abdominal pain, itches and rashes as well as jaundice. If there is any suspicion of hepatitis C, your liver specialist at The Surgeons Collective in Perth will organise the recommended tests for you, and will provide clear information about potential treatment. Since March 2016, the Australian Government has allocated $1 billion in funds to support hepatitis C treatment in Australia and our team will be happy to guide you through the range of treatment options, providing the highest level of care and support based on our many years of experience in providing liver treatment to our Perth patients.
